Re: Coconut husk
Certainly, it's not as easy to clean as newspaper but sure looks a lot better, just don't wet it to much

Re: Coconut husk
i use coco husk for my BCI, works great - I prefer coir for my CRB as it maintains humidity for a bit longer and allows for better burrowing

Okay great. I already have the husk so I'll use it up and switch to coir when the time comes.
Thanks guys.

Re: Coconut husk
How does sand/soil or sand/coco fiber work with boas?

both work great, both provide excellent humidity control, soil is more useful for bio-active setups, particularly with plants, as coir/coco is relatively sterile in comparison so doesn't provide many nutrients for the plants or as much food for cleaner crews to become established quickly

Re: Coconut husk
Newbie question!
On their website there wasn't any place to order this substrate. Am I missing something or can you just not order it off their site?

you can buy it all over the place (often sold for gardening at a slightly better price than for reptiles), try looking for coconut husk or coir soil on any of your favorite websites, ebay throws up lots of good deals
