Michigan people!
Hey,
So obviously I am from the Detroit area. Tell me a little about yourself and what you keep. I am newer to the Taylor area and would love to meet some cool people that share this amazing hobby.

Re: Michigan people!
Taylor show tomorrow.
Have only two herps at present -- albino rat and a pueblan. Have more T's as they take up less space and less maintenance.

Re: Michigan people!
I'm originally from the D but moved to Atlanta about 13 years ago. Couldn't take those brutal winters anymore. Good luck at the show tomorrow

Re: Michigan people!
I would be going to the show as well if I didn't have to work tonight.

Re: Michigan people!
It's ok, there is another one next month. As it turns out I will not be attending this show due to work. I am pretty bummed about it but there is always next month.

Typically, since ive been going since October, its mostly ball pythons unfortunately. There is a guy there that specifically deals with only hondos, nice collection. Some baby carpets, havent seen crazy amounts of variety but every now and then there are some nice ones, saw a file snake once was a pretty neat little thing. But as far as colubrids, you probably will be seeing milks and kings more than corns or other rat snakes.

Re: Michigan people!
Wasn't a bad show.
Yeah, you can't swing a dead snake without hitting a ball python. But that is simply the reality of what's "in" -- often the same with crested geckos (though I haven't been seeing as many vendors with those lately).
I'd also agree with Kevin ... not a whole lot in the way of rat or corn snakes there. Some shows there is a pretty nice selection, but that tends to be hit or miss, unfortunately.
Did pick up a P. metallica sling from a guy I know there. Hope it does well for me. Also sold a few carnivorous plants that I brought with me which covered the entrance fee and paid for gasoline.
I won't be able to make it next month, there's an orchid show in AA I'll be helping out at. The conflict is a bit of a bummer ... was supposed to bring a few plants to sell to a woman at the next Taylor herp show. Had forgotten about the orchid show until I was already home.

Re: Michigan people!
He broke a few rules. The thread it was in was deleted. He is gone. I am sure he will be talking about it on another site.

Huh, a bit surprising. From most of his posts, didn't seem all that bad.
But yes DragonsEye that isn't surprising. They have good shows but yea..very ball python and crestie oriented. When I first went there in September/October there was a good number of rat snakes, corns specifically. More of a season thing I think..
