Newbie question
Hi Everyone,
Looking forward to being part of the community
Ok so I've only had my first dwarf retic since Saturday (8ft male about 2 1/2 years old). Temps are good and humidity is now sorted. He's been out twice a day with no issues, I get a little hiss now and again but I've yet to see any sort of real aggression. He's very inquisitive and likes to be up on my shoulders. His tongue flicks are nice, long and slow, however he does seem to breathe quite heavily.
I am best to let him settle in for a week or so and feed him (yet to have a feed at home) or carry on as is?
We got him from a very reputable local breeder who hatched him and bred from him, he told me that he's well handled which he seems to be.
Just after any does and don'ts (apart from the obvious) on this first homing.
Many many thanks

Re: Newbie question
I would try him with a feed soon and if he refuses then don't handle him for a while and try again, but I have one complaint about your post WHERE'S THE PICS . Good to have you aboard

Re: Newbie question
Thanks, we are still at that 'first date' stage and slowly getting to know each other.
I didn't bother with a hide as the dealer said he never bothers with any for all his, but all the other snakes I've owned did. When I move him up to a larger viv I may just pop one in, what do you think?

Thanks, we're really pleased with him He carries a strong iridescent colour all the way down his flanks that doesn't show on that image.
Once I can keep him still in some decent light I'll take some more pics
