I used to keep a trinidad chevron (after having only kept brachypelma sp.'s) and it was a WILD change...

Around the 2 inch mark, looks to be a male. Going by the ventral stripe.

Re: P. Regalis

Sadly this spider died recently, I'd just put him into a bigger enclosure and it wasn't the easiest to maintain and I couldn't get a cricket out and it got at the spider maybe in molt, he was out on display all the time.

Re: P. Regalis

I had made the enclosure myself and he made his hide on the door and I couldn't really open it fully without him getting defensive and his speed was unreal so could risk him getting out.

Re: P. Regalis

He had positioned himself on the door which I could only open downwards so he would attempt running up at me like.
He was always great for eating aggressively so thought he would get it eventually.Lesson learned the hard way. Sadly.

Re: P. Regalis

Yeah crickets are wicked. Sad to hear he passed in such a terrible way. These guys are wicked fast! My advice is to clear a nice open space and get a good size catch cup. The deeper the better. Being they are arboreal they will run up into the cup 70% of the time. I have had my fair share of close calls. In the cup, out the cup, up your arm, and down your leg faster than you could even react.
