New pictures of Serenity - Thai Bamboo Rat
Serenity was out and about a few minutes ago, so I decided to snap a few pictures.
She shed a few days ago and it was incomplete, had to give her a sauna to get the last of it off, so pardon the bits of shed in the pictures.
Got these but she got really pissed off at the camera and started trying to come through the glass to eat it, so I stopped before she could hurt herself. Have to laugh every time I say her name, it's a pretty name for a beautiful girl, but there is nothing serene about Serenity!

What a beautiful snake! I love the colors and the markings are so perfect. What's her personality? I understand that this species tends to be a but nervous and does not appreciate being handled.

Re: New pictures of Serenity - Thai Bamboo Rat
They are definitely not a tv watching species!
My girls both have their good days and bad, I don't typically handle them very much. They can be fairly calm but on their off days will attempt to bite everything around themselves. Serenity has even bitten herself a few times, trying to get me.
I use a hook and rubber gloves with both of them, for some reason the feel of the rubber touching her doesn't seem to freak Serenity out as much as bare skin, I had a KSB that was the same way, would try to bite the feel of bare skin anywhere on her body but was calm if I used gloved hands to handle her.
My male is much calmer and although alert and ready to move fast at the least provocation, he can be fairly easily handled and I do handle him a bit.
The two girls are sisters but the male is unrelated. All of them are CBB from CB parents though.

She looks like she wants to give you a kiss. Very nice specimen! What kind of temperature range do you have in her set up?

Re: New pictures of Serenity - Thai Bamboo Rat
We don't have any type of heat on them, their enclosures are just kept room temp. We keep our reptile room between 70-80 degrees, although its usually right in the middle or lower end of that.
