HELP INDENTIFY! What species is this?

What species is this and how do I care for it till we can take it to the pet shop?

Need all info I can get on how to care for it!

Don't take wild caught animals and put them into the pet trade. That's not a nice thing to do. It's used to living in the wild in wide open spaces. That's where it belongs.

It's a red lipped herald, rear fanged with little study done of the venom. You really should release it. Doesn't South Africa require permits to capture and keep wild snakes?

My brother released it so no worries guys! Thanks for the help! Just wanted to take care of it for the day till work was done.
