Strange Twitch

Hey guys, I received a new snake this past week, and she's exhibiting a strange twitch. She's a three foot long banded watersnake, with a fairly calm and completely nonaggressive attitude. Whenever she is touched, her head jerks up for a split second, only moving a few millimeters. Any ideas what that might be about?

I saw a pet shop Carpet python twitch like that out of nervousness when the employee picked up the snake.

My garters used to twitch when I first got them. They don't do it anymore

One of my carpets does this when being picked up same as above.

It just a nervous twitch. Kind of like when some snick up behind you and touch your should and you flinch and jump just a little. I have two snakes that do it ever time i first touch them. Then after that they are fine.
