I found this snake in my house
I found this snake in my house.
Anybody know what kind it is. I am in Florida. Is it dangerous?
Would there be more? - I read the snakes don't usually give birth inside a house.
Should I just put it in the woods?
Thanks,
Tim.

Re: I found this snake in my house
Are you in north FL? It does look like a Pinewood snake and they are more common up by Lake O, Orlando, the panhandle. Non-venomous, harmless.

Re: I found this snake in my house
Yeah. we are in north florida. I think you guys are right about the pinewood snake.
Looks alot like the one in some youtube videos i found.
I though it was a red-bellied snake, but it does not have the neckline the red-bellies have - There was a picture of a young redbellie that looked exactly like it except for the neck - i figured he would change colors as it got older.
thanks!
we put him in our hands and then let it go in the garden.
