Red-Tail Boa

Hi, I'm going to a expo in about a week and I'm gonna buy a Red-Tail Boa if there's anyone there. Should a Red-Tail have the same habitat as a normal Bcc or a different temperature and humidity? ( this will be my first snake )

And btw, are Red-Tail Boa, Surinam and Guyana the same species?

Sorry if my English do kinda suck, I'm from Sweden so English is my 2nd language

A lot of good boa people here that can (and will) better assist you then myself but I believe that a BCC requires slightly more heat than a BCI. Humidity however should be fairly the same (55-65% range). I keep my BCI's temp on the hotside around 87-88F and the cool side is 79-80F.

I believe BCC require lower temperatures than BCI. Not sure about humidity, but I'm guessing it would be the same as BCI. Yes, those are all the same species. Red-tail boa is just another name for boa constrictor, and Suriname and Guyanas boas are sub-species of the boa constrictor.

I've heard Suris and Guyanas are the same locale, just that they are separated on account of coloration. Is this true?

Suris and guyanas are both bcc's but different locality.

That's what I normally hear, I just heard they were actually the same locality since they're only separated by a political barrier. I was just curious to see if that's true, or just speculation.

BCC's are more beautiful, in my opinion. They look flawless and smooth, where BCI's can be a little peppered looking, and their tail is not quite as strikingly red. From what I have learned, BCC's tend to be a little less forgiving in their conditions, and their temperments can be a little more aggressive. I personally chose to get a BCI because of these factors. Whether they are true or not, I just chose to go with a BCI instead, no regrets either, she is awesome!

One thing i do suggest is looking into the adult sizes of the various locales as some can get pretty big (10 ft range) while others stay around 5-6. just be very aware of what you're getting and be sure you have the means to house it.

However, my Columbian sits at 90 on the warm end and ~80 cool end (that fluxes with the room temp a little). Humidity is at 70 which is the high end of their suggested range. typically the 60-70% range is what you're looking for.
