Hello from me and my zoo of a family :)
Hello!
I've been debating joining a snake forum for a while now. I got my first snake on July 13th. He's a young Western Hognose named Lithir.
In addition to my hognose, I breed fancy mice and gerbils for pets and for special colors. I hope to one day breed degus.
I have 19 fancy mice, 6 gerbils (excluding pups that I am not keeping), 2 rats, 4 degus, 2 Syrian hamsters, 1 dwarf hamster, 1 Western Hognose, 4 cats and 2 dogs.
I'm a member of the American Gerbil Society.
With my gerbils I breed colorpoints and I'm soon going to be breeding gerbils with the recessive gray gene (gg). I'm aiming to get more gray agoutis, slates, and hopefully some silver nutmegs eventually.
I don't know much about mouse genetics yet, and currently I do not have good breeding mice. All of my current mice are rescues and pet store mice. Currently I'm just breeding to get a feel for genetics and breeding mice, but I will be keeping all babies until I get healthy breeding mice from other breeders.
All of my animals are my family and I enjoy talking about them.

Re: Hello from me and my zoo of a family :)
Greetings and best wishes Abyss. This is a great forum with some very nice people. I'm pretty new to snakes too and I've gotten some really good information here. I have a Cal King (Hannibal Caesar), a MBK (Sasha Fierce) and a Calico cat (Isis). I look forward to hearing more about your animals.
