BCI tummy troubles

So, I have a 2yr old female BCI who seems to have trouble with indigestion. She eats readily and has never regurged but she seems to bloat and get gassy while digesting. It doesn't bother her to be handled or even hooked but when I do I can hear her stomach gurgling. Shes also has constipation issues.

I figured I would start a discussion on it maybe get some insight into it

Before you guys ask she's in a tub on newspaper big water dish and a hot side in the mid 90s. She's around 1200g eating a ~150g rat once a week.

Is it at all possible that your snake is not actually accessing 90+* temps? Gassy would make me think the prey is not being digested fast enough. Maybe skip a feeding then try two smaller prey items and see how she responds?

My two year old female is eating that size with no issues. I would also suspect temps....How long has this been happening?

I am not convinced its a temperature problem simply for the fact that she does bask and she has never puked.

Honestly shes been like this off and on her whole life, her husbandry hasnt changed in the last 2 years and she craps like a horse. I am starting to think she has something wonky in her digestive tract that it takes her longer to digest.

I think I may offer her food less frequently.

As long as her poops are normal and shes eating and putting on weight I'm not entirely worried I just wanted to start a discussion about it because I find it so strange.

I doubt it's a temperature problem as well. I just don't see a snake not using the temperatures offered to them.

At best, I can only speculate that it's something along the lines you mention. The digestive tract or something else internal we just can't see.

Ive heard of it in temps to high, the prey item gets to hot and gets nasty quickly causing a bloating look, usually leading to a gurge. But you said shes never had a problem holding down a meal so maybe its not extreme enough my basking temps stay between 88-90. Room temps in the summer are 86-88. I think mid 90s might be a smidge to much. It sounds like shes doing fine regardless tho
