Anyone produce music?

Hey, everyone. My posts are infamous for derailing, and going 100% off topic, which isn't always my fault, but whatever! I wanted to see if anyone else here makes music? I have been producing for several years, in several genres. I make a little Dubstep, but I'm not the greatest... Haven't been into it for long. But I originally started with a guitar, about 6-7 years ago.
Here's a remix I just made.

Also: Feel free to spam this thread with links to your music, if you make any.

And: Finding good Dubstep presets is impossible, so don't judge I only produce as a hobby.

Re: Anyone produce music?

That is music? I don't listen to music, haven't for a long time and I know music changes with time, but is this really what people listen to now? Nobody actually has to learn how to play a guitar (do people still know what those are?)

I heard music was going downhill and lyrics were borderline ********, but I didn't think people listened to robots arguing

Yup lol It's what a lot of people listen to now. I have always been into rock, but there's just no decent rock made anymore. Also, if you don't listen to music, how can you call that bad? You have nothing to compare it to.

I know, I am just not to big into making my own presets! It's pretty time consuming IMO. Good track, though, man

Yes this is what they play now days. I'm forced to listen to 10 year old music lol.

Not judging you guys on your taste in "music" but everytime I hear this kind of stuff on the radio it just makes me very angry.

I actually can relate. I used to be the same way. I am a into rock. But when there's pretty much no rock being made any more, and all the stuff that IS being made sucks, it's easy to start looking into other genres, and Dubstep is CERTAINLY better than crap....

Re: Anyone produce music?

dont worry, i get pretty angry when i hear people whinging about how electronic music isnt proper music, and how playing a guitar is so much more difficult than being an electronic music producer, which happens to be total nonsense

I agree. If anything, it's a 100 x easier. I've played guitar and made electronic, so I can back that up. Especially because you've got a whole song to put together. With a guitar, you're only controlling one instrument. With a computer, there's the drums, synths, etc, etc. Plus... Your guitar can't freeze up, and destroy all your progress lol

Re: Anyone produce music?

To each his own I guess, makes no difference to me since I drive in complete silence so I don't have to hear it accidentally on the radio haha

Also, if your producing everything I'm sure there is some diffuculy involved. I didn't mean to say it was 'easy' and I'm sure if your really good at it, you could probably make it sound as if someone was really playing the guitar somehow (I'm just guessing..)

But when people like Erik say they don't want to produce their own whatever it is, because it takes to long, it makes me think some of the kids producing robot sex audio files are just too lazy to actually learn how to play an instrument or properly produce their own music as opposed to taking a mix of other peoples and throwing it all together.

Re: Anyone produce music?

it takes only seconds to create a good synth patch, if you put the effort into learning how to do it, but that of course takes dedication and practice just like playing any other instrument
