Waggling tale .

Just wondered if any of you have seen any of your snakes waggle their tale . I have seen my 9ft CP do it a few times , but yesterday he done it for like a minute . I was sitting down just watching him , and he was waggling his tale like , you know like a cat does when it is wild .

I've noticed my adult female paradox albino sand boa tail wagging during breeding season, when i've introduced her mate into her enclosure, slowly and deliberately, to let the male she is interested in him.

And she has also been doing quite a bit of tail wagging over the past few days, along with digging, which i'm hoping means she'll be dropping her litter soon...


Both my males and females will also tail wag when i'm offering them their meals...

Maybe he thinks hes a GTP and hes trying to bait with his tail. :S

Smy, I've seen my baby bci's use their tale as a lure... Well it seemed that way anyway. :-/

Both my gopher and my king wag their tails at the scent of prey. My gophers tail buzzes like a cell phone. My other snakes will do this too but not all the time.

I cannot answer the OP's question but also have seen my male potion do that when I put him with two specifics females. Tale going nuts and sometimes I see him do that and spray urates....almost like a hippo.

Lovely when he does that on himself, the female and the cage! Looked all over the web but cannot find a reason. (Marking or just takin' as wizz before the deed...?)

It looks the no harm so,...not too worried.

With Bloods pythons it's their way of saying back off. I actually have a video of one of my Red Bloods doing it.
