What should I put in my 10 gallon tank?
I have a 10 gallon tank that'll soon be vacant since I'm giving my fishes to my Grandma. :P Now I'm wondering what I should put in there. I thought about buying mice and breeding them, but I only have one ball python so I'd get an overpopulated tank pretty quickly... Plus she'll only eat rats, and those would definetly not fit in there. I'm ok with pretty much any suggestions, as long as they're not bugs. Any ideas? I'm not really sure of what could live in a 10 gal comfortably. :|

a couple Anoles would do well if you're looking for something relatively simple.

Do any of you happen to know if Anoles like to live alone or in groups? I never thought of those, so thank you.

I think anoles are boring. I used to use them as feeders.

Really? I didn't know people used lizards as feeders... Then again, I tend to be pretty ignorant of anything that isn't a snake.

Re: What should I put in my 10 gallon tank?
anoles will live together, they are a great reptile to start with, I love them, they where my first lizard and very active, but also they are very fast and great at escaping thru tiny gaps that seem far too small, or flying out of the tank when you open it - and sometimes they will choose the most inconvient spots to bask, like hanging of the rim of the tank ready to jump out as soon as you open it lol.
I use 10L only to gut load food tbh, its difficult to maintain a good 10C temperature gradient in such a small container, unless its long and low rather than fish tank proportions
Rather than finding something to fit into the tank, why not find something you'd like to keep and build its enclosure based on what it needs? otherwise a 10L makes an excellent gut loading tank, which you will need if you are thinking about getting a lizard

You actually pointed out something that I didn't previously think about. :P Yeah, I think your idea is better than what I had in mind. Any larger species suggestions? I've never had a lizard before.
