Staten Island field herping?

Does anybody know a good place to field hero in Staten Island. I know that we have a couple of snake species and amphibian species here on S.i. But I'm very unfamiliar with the island and theme greenbelt. And also if anybody has ever went to the Staten Island greenbelt, if you could i for me on a good starter place.

What parts of SI are you guys from? I live in Oakwood...

The last reptile I saw was a crushed Garter in a parking lot...

Anyway, I'd be happy to join this field herping expedition.

New Dorp, right next to you. My neighbor's cats bring in an average of 5 garter snakes a day in the spring. There are tons in my neighborhood, I see them run over and lawnmower casualties all the time, but have only seen a live one not in a cats mouth once. The only snake other than a garter I have ever seen here is an unrecognizable dead 4 footer on the beach by seguine ave.

Ya theres stray cats all over New Dorp, its ridiculous. I met someone who caught a brown snake in miller field but I've never seen any snakes around there or by my house(except the run over one).
So by your avatar I take it you keep Carpets? I have a Tiger, a Diamond/Jungle and female Jungle thats pretty huge.

Are either of you guys gonna be at White Plains next week?
