Hello from New Guy

Hi everyone, I'm not really into snakes, but I find them interesting and I'm always curious to read more about any I happen across, which is hardly ever, maybe I need to get out more.

Anyway, I was hoping to use this forum as a resource to help me ID any snakes I even happen across. Would like to share a picture now, I work as a pilot, and came across this snake while doing my walk around inspection on the flight line in Northwest Arkansas.

Any help ID'ing appreciated, Thanks!

Re: Hello from New Guy

Based on the link I looked at it seems a lot like a great plains ratsnake or prairie kingsnake... But could be a pet snake of some other variety that got loose.

Re: Hello from New Guy

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, much appreciated! After looking every ones comments and cross referencing pictures, my best guess is that I came across a Rat Snake. The XNA airport is surrounded by open plains that would serve its habitat and diet of small birds and rodents.
