Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....

Might I add, I hope it's your normal male, not your mystic potion. Lol. Not that it's nice for any snake to go missing, but I'd sure be stressing over a missing mystic potion.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....

I know this is kind of late to post, but what I learned from having my old corn lost for 5 months, is to not get stressed. It's extremely hard to find a snake, any size, and they usually turn up on their own accord.

Not yet......but.......

One of the huge Corning ware saucers I'm using for water on the floor showed clearly that he was in there. (Aquarium sand swirled around...no question)

I think I will also keep out a couple of large Tupperware with an inch of water, then full of moss. Two of my current snakes like to hang out under the moss when they are near a shed.

Sooooooo...he's around...and he's sneaky.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....

I totally sympathize...I once fell asleep with a snake on my lap, for a whole 5 minutes watching the late news, & of course my snake made a run for it! But he was only under my chair (it was a rocker-recliner...I was VERY careful when I got up!).

I don't know if your kitchen cupboards are made the same where you are, but here, if you lay on the floor looking up (like a snake) or use a mirror under the front of the cabinets, there is a little crawl space under the bottoms of the cupboards into which snakes are magnetically drawn... An adult bull snake of mine got loose (many years ago) & hibernated for 6 months under my kitchen cupboards, then came out none the worse for wear. I was pretty sure that's where she was (by process of elimination...I tore everything else apart, but stopped short of ripping out cupboards) and was SO relieved that she was ok. Ball pythons have been known to fast easily for a year or more, btw.

I've heard of snakes wedging behind toilets, finding holes in the lining under beds/couches, going into the garbage disposal (<found uninjured!), hiding in boots, in kitchen stoves & other major appliances...you name it? But I do hope he turns up soon!

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....

Keep on him you will get it back.

Took me 2 months when I lost mine.

I kept putting food, water and warm hides out and eventually it prevailed.
