you should put a heat source under your live traps, may have a higher chance of attracting him.

Yeah, we are doing:
- the flour (previously baited with live smalls)...preps with a comb.
- crinkled tin foil under motion sensors at night.
- moved most of the upstairs stuff to the garage after triple checking.
- sitting up till stupid o'clock at night listening....for....(what was that?)
- etc, etc, etc....everything short of video on a sensor. That might be good reasoning to get a go-pro)...need to talk to the wife!!

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
This is true, I find that once they find a comfortable spot they will stay there for a bit before moving again.
They pick the weirdest spots....Once we found one of our balls sitting pretty on top of our vacuum haha.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
Thanks Adam.
You better belive I will let you know when I find him. He was very well fed when he took off. Now that I look back at my original freak-out I should have known that it would havee been a min of two weeks before he even thought about budging.
Still have 1/2 the house in the garage, sit on camp chairs in the living room have his cage on the floor near a dish of water & keep the foil on the floors at night, etc, etc. Could be a long haul...Im hoping we are looking at weeks, not months.
Fear not...I will update even if I see a sign.

You know, I feel like keeping the furniture and stuff in the garage may have been a bad idea. You'd be suprised at what he can wedge into. I hope your garage is sealed because he may be inside something out there.

You're weird dude.
Don't tell people that.
The nice young men in their clean white coats,
they're coming to take you away,
heehee hoho haha,
to the funny farm; where life is beautiful all the time.

Thought if that. Put couches in the basement. Along with other things with lots of places to hide.
The garage has thing that could be taken apart to make sure there was no snake. Still lots of places to hide but easy to check now. The upstairs closets have been turned into little snake motels so if he wanders in he might be inclined to stay.
Concern appreciated but great care was taken to ensure he was not taken out in anything.

I agree with this. I know you've probably heard it a million times and think "duh, of course I checked around its cage" but really.... it is SOOO common for them to be very close, and sometimes they are really good at hiding even in obvious-ish places. I would really really recommend forgetting about the rest of the place for an evening and just REALLLLY focusing on the area immediately around the enclosure.
I wish you the best of luck!!
