wait wait wait!!! did no one else catch this????

"because there is no air in space, there is no depth perception. how do u explain that you nonbelievers?"

Since when exactly do waves of light hitting your eyes have ANYTHING to do with the presence (or absence) of air??? Dude...how DO you explain that? Seriously...depth perception has very little to do with air!
Maybe you meant because of the different composition of the atmosphere? Under water there is no air and depth perception is generally still intact (with the exception of light refracting differently because of the water). But different gases in the atmosphere may change wavelengths and how the get from the sun to us???

I agree with you, this doesn't make sense.

Is anyone going to shoot down my arguements against the pictures on the web site?

Yea, the whole thing was a hoax. It was started by Big Foot and the tooth fairy because it was taking attension away from them! What a bunch of mush heads to believe such crap. I'll bet you don't believe fossils of homo erectus, neanderthals, ergaster, Homo habilis,Australopithus afarensis and africanus(just to name a few) aren't real. They were all put there by satan just to trick us!(believe it or not i've been told that by more than one ignorant person.) Or maybe being from a country that never accomplished such a wonderful thing-for that matter never accomplished squat you just can't imagine such greatness. Remember, it's not countries that make people great-it's the people that make their country great! Pitty, i've been wanting to leave this site because of the small mindedness. heres the perfect time. bye-bye

Scales Zoo--I agree with you completely.

In 1969 NOBODY had the technology to put a man on the moon much less a machine that could drive around. In 1969 NOBODY knew how to send a rocket through the Earth's magnetic field without people literally frying inside.

This word is chalk full of lies and deception. Nothing new.

A Christian friend of mine PREACHES this type of thing... Dinosaurs are fictional too, apparently.

Just nod and agree... she's alway right no matter what.

in 1969 they couldn't even make computers without devoting a whole room to just one...and a LARGE room at that. The state of other technologies at this time (outside of NASA) seriously makes me question whether a moonlanding was possible. Take a gander at where medical sciences were....they were barely able to keep petients alive on the surgery table at this time, let alone in space!

to answer the origional question, lol which I just realized I never answered I personally beleive it was a hoax, for Obvios reasons. After the soviets succesfully launched sputnik the americans were so scared of looking inferior they faked a moon launching to make themselves look superior.

Getting a manned mission to the moon is nothing compared to getting a remote mission to anywhere. Essentially all they needed to caluclate was thrust and tradgectories. And mathmaticians could work that out on paper without computers. Most conventional jet fighter technology was more than sufficient for the dynamics of landing, amnuvering, etc. Had it not been a manned mission it would not have been possible. The human computer is what made it possible.
