Beautiful white lipped, by the way. They are such cool pythons, even if they are a bit temperamental.
Preventative and proper care now known as pettiness. Good to know!

Well you haven't cried about mites yet so I doubt it's an issue but you have great animals that you care about. I wouldn't want them all to be infected or anything because some a-hole lied to you when you buy your next.

Oh, poor Oscar! You know as well as I that I was speaking about your delivery, not your knowledge.

Re: Heres another video of the White Lipped Python

i just did the whole not quarintine thing and my bcc had mites. so therefore after spending $50 on substrate for both encloseers i had to clean them out after 3 days and quarintine both my snakes and treat for mites. so now i am $50 out of bedding and basicly two "new" snakes. it sucks but it is a lesson learned. i will QT next time for sure!

For sure man, I have to be more mindful. Thanks everyone for their advice. I believe keeping snakes is a skill that needs to be honed. Some of you have some of us haven't, this is why I ask for helpful advice and criticism. I have kept snakes for a lot longer than many of the new buyers and such but I can assure you that I don't claim to be an expert. I don't think anyone is. We all make mistakes. I have learned this from my years in the military and now in business. There is ALWAYS something new to learn and mistakes are going to happen, this comes from complacency. I understand that my mistakes were foolish and I was SELFISH, I did the wrong thing even though I knew better. Im glad I can come one here and get my but kicked for being a dumb ***. I just ask that you show the same courtesy and respect I show you guys

Thanks for wasting your times reading my posts!

Re: Heres another video of the White Lipped Python

Great looking WLP! I never use a snake hook on my white lip (mainly because I don't own one) but since he's always in his hide I will lift the back of the hide enough to get my hand on the biggest part of his body that I can and I pull him and the hide up at the same time then just set the hide down once he's out. The trick with these guys once you get them out is to keep them moving. You'll figure out what works best for yours the more you work with her. Kudos for what you said earlier about keeping her no matter what. I totally agree. I love these guys.
