Re: The food & recipe thread (Let's cook!)
Now that sounds really good, my family would run the other way, maybe Dorothy the garlic freak would eat some, if I left off the spinach..

Re: The food & recipe thread (Let's cook!)
i'm soooooo hungry after reading this!! so many great recipes!
I don't have a recipe to offer yet, but I was wondering if anybody had a chocolate lava cake recipe, where you make these little chocolate cakes in ramekins and the centre is all gooey chocolate. I had a book with this recipe but I can't find it here, mum can't find it at home or at the cottage, i tried a recipe from the internet and it was hooooorrrible!
Thanks

Re: The food & recipe thread (Let's cook!)
can't you just put a Hershey kiss in the middle of a cupcake prior to baking it?
Oh and BTW I do all the cooking, it's easier to get everyone else to clean up after me.
I would rather cook than do dishes any day.

I have two dishwashers... Samantha and Brendan.
Dorothy gets pampered mostly, She led a hard life before me, so I figure I can spoil her for the rest of it.

AHAH i'm such a messy cook, I use bowls and cutlery and plates and dishes and pots and pans and I agree, I would rather do the cooking than the dishes

Bows humbly..... Not a big fan of sweets. I love real honest maple syrup in moderation, kettle boiled mother nature.
Hot cupcakes no frosting, buttered. (I call them chocolate muffins)
Hot brownies, buttered. Pasta - buttered.
Moving to food thread now....

Re: The food & recipe thread (Let's cook!)
I love sweet food but am a diabetic so gradually finding more and more natural sweetness instead of adding sugar to recipes.

Shrimp Alfredo on pasta and broccoli.
carrots with a dash of brown sugar, heavy butter.
Bacon - The most epic meat ever. good on everything. (almost)
Get a packet of real bacon bits in the salad dressing section of the market, scramble it into eggs and wrap in a soft tortilla with some cheese. (chopped jalapeņo makes it even better.)

I tend to go the other way, spicy.
Potato and macaroni salad is best with a dash of Coleman's mustard flour, a sprinkle of garlic and chopped pepperonis.
Chicken salad on croissant sandwich with heavy banana pepper rings on it. yum
