look if your parrents didnt want you to get a boa... you shouldnt have.. but thats besides the point.. get on f/t rats asap.... go buy a book... look on websites.. ect ect..

i hate to break it to ya but you know NOTHING about your boa there... and you really need to.. you MUST do reasearch ASAP.. your little buddy there is gonna get to 7 or 8 feet in no time.. bigger than you,.... your not going to be able to handle his strength.. so youll need your dad there when you wanna hold him, no matter how tame you get him.. hes still an animal..

here start with this site..

http://www.redtailboas.com/general_c...eral_care.html

but buy a book and read like 20 more sites/..

and i hope for your sake your parrents are forgiving.. cause your gonna need alot of help when he grows up a little...

oh ya and use the edit post feature.. if you need to add something its easy.. just a tip...

no buddy.. dont worry.. honestly i dont want you to feel like you should never ask a question.. you should.. i just also want you to do some reasearch to see what questions can be answered before you post.. as well, if your not sure some of your info is correct, no harm in asking..

reasearch takes some time but youll have a healthier and happier snake because of it

yes heat tape with a dimmer or a better choice a helix temprature comtroll would work.. use the money your saving from not building a massive cage and but the helix...

and i couldnt answer the feeding question.. i dont own any constrictors.. but if he ate he ate..

make sure the mouse is fully thawed and dry before you feed.. and try to switch to rats

no one in my area has rats
1. nothing that is big enough to eat them
2. no one out here wants rats for any reason
3.the place i got my snake from was 45 minutes a way.
and for the reason i have with the live thing is they have been feeding live to it for its whole life so i am haing difficulty getting it to eat.
so should i just stick to live until he gets onto adult rats and then change him to f/k or f/t

kferrari that is hitting below the belt man. I have a hard time to spell and I have worked in places you would only wish you could go and visit. You dont have to have all your academic credits to keep snakes. I am living proof.

fish3x3 just chose the general area you want to be in and select start new thread at the right hand side of the page.
