I also want to see this movie, I don't know if I can make it through because of the violent, realistic aspect of it though; but since Mel was trying for an accurate account of the last 12 hours of Christ , I guess it had to be that way.

Sleddergirl- give the contacts a try! You won't regret it and you get used to putting them in and taking them out. It's completely different from having glasses, with glasses you don't have your peripheral (sp?) vision, with contacts it's just like having regular 20/20! They don't slide down your nose either! LOL!

I think all the controversy is just free advertising. You know the saying, no such thing as bad publicity.

Just got back from it. Best movie I've seen in a long time. Content as well as a movie for movie sake. If you want controversy, what do you think of the fact that a lot of the movie took place on SAND!!!

I don't think anyone can answer that question without violating the TOS, as it I cannot see anyone's reasons for disliking the film concept or the meanings behind it, as anything but religious...

I honestly can't believe that you have the audacity to start a thread pertaining to a film of this nature and believe the thread has nothing to do with religion!!!! Are you completely mad? What could possibly possess you to do this? Epiphany? Rapture? Demonic possession perhaps?

I've already filed a complaint with the adminstrators and you can expect the deletion ASAP. If you want to subscribe to some pathetic, desperate system of beliefs then suit yourself, but don't EVER think about waiving it in the faces of others capable of formulating opinions of their own.

Obviously I misjudged you.
wow.. i think that i would be asking the same questions as to why this person would write such a letter...demonic possession perhaps?

I would love to see this movie, i was supposed to see it tonight actually but couldnt make it after work. I heard that it was pretty graphic, but one of the best movies that some people had seen, and thats coming from people aged 16-19.

I think the movie is a good representation of what people have always done to other people who live or think differently than them. They attack them ideologically or physically.

Whover wrote that letter to Dragons&Balls is a textbook example of intolerance and ignorance. They couldn't enter into reasonable dialog so they attacked and belittled instead.

Maybe they should evaluate their own beliefs before they attack those of others.

Good post, Criciform.

I like the part where he/she yells about how D&B can subscibe to some pathetic belief, but shouldnt waive it in the face of others.

Where exactly and who exactly is forcing him/her to watch this movie. If you dont want to go see it, dont. If you dont want to talk about it, dont come back to this thread. Now go away!
