Re: First time snake owner, looking for help!
i never see bella out unless i take her out i want that to change, i dont want her to be so shy either!!! i NEVER see her house roaming around unless i have just handled her and just put her back in, then she will go into her plants and hide then roam for like 5 mins around her hides ect. then go in and i wont see her untill the next time i hold her!

Re: First time snake owner, looking for help!
She's still getting used to her new home, sights, smells...She'll eventually get into a routine and she'll learn to trust you and she'll get more confident and you'll see her out more

Re: First time snake owner, looking for help!
One of my two year old (almost) corns has only just gotthe confidence to come out of his hides during the day, his "brother from another clutch" has been out in the open from day one and is very confident, give it time and the snake will gain confidence in most cases, tho it is always possible that she will never be one of those snakes that likes being on view.

Re: First time snake owner, looking for help!
My rainbow boa is almost never visible, give her some time, she'll come around. Handling is slightly stressful to them as well, so take that into consideration. As she gets used to you it'll be less and less stressful. But put yourself in her scales, how would you like if if some giant smell, hairy, non-scaly thing picked you up out of your house and watched you roam around until they felt it was time to put you back?

She may have gone to you because you're warmer.
