Re: Thoughts on logo

Thanks for the ideas!

Well, the actual design was a few ideas I had. Remember, I'm not really creative.

@ Jay, I like it a lot! Just doesn't fit my image of futuristic, "Next Generation" idea. That's the main reason I really like the monochrome idea. (Wow, not one, but two hold back Suri's! You do expensive work!

@ Wildside, Not really what I imagined. I do like the chrome lettering. Kind of what I'm picturing for the snake.. with some texture to it.

It wasn't meant for your snake Hon, that's why it says "Auto Body". It's just one that took me a good deal of work as the customer wanted an Ed Roth inspired piece. Sort of a comparison of the quality that's acceptable fora few holdback suri's

Re: Thoughts on logo

I'm not sure I really like original all that much either. I kind of wish it were a whole body shot, or more than one snake.

Re: Thoughts on logo

@ Jay, thank you!

I actually meant that Wildside's logo completely matched Hillside's name and industry!

This is my idea for the snake's coloration.

Re: Thoughts on logo

It was done by an actual graphic designer, who has art hanging all over the US and has loyal national and international clients. However, he was limited in what he could do because he was following specific directions and limited to a specific picture. We are states apart and I can't take the photo myself. My graphic designer can easily illustrate it, but that wasn't what was asked.

Re: Thoughts on logo

^^^^Yep^^^^^

My lack of creativity, trying to convey in writing, with just some crappy pics was all there was to my idea. He wasn't asked to design anything, just to try and put my thoughts before my eyes to see what my brain couldn't.

Over I weren't very impressed with This version, I wouldn't have shown it off, really.

Now I'm getting great ideas to make it even better!

Re: Thoughts on logo

Have to admit that with "Next Generation" involved in the name, what I first expected to see was a snake sitting in the captain's seat of the Enterprise or a snake inspired starship (like a Romulan/Klingon "Bird of Prey" or "Warbird").

Re: Thoughts on logo

Yeah, I totally understand that. If I were more of a Trekkie, that might have dawned on me sooner. I still love the concept of the name. I think when we get some monochrome into the logo though, it'll all tie n and make more sense.

Re: Thoughts on logo

Im liking the texture you chose to use for a snake image, it will look good without color and a little extra contrast. Im still curious as to what your going for when you say "new generation" does that mean it is supposed to feel futuristic?
