if you read it more carefully I did not say anybody said they just eat fruit,what i am implying is we make assumptions about specific species of monitors.Someone said they have not been kept wiuth any sucess in captivity,which may be true.But that's true of Sav's as well but some know how to keep them sucessfully-and it's not by treating them different from other species of monitors but understanding them.

no problem, V olivaceus remind me of a species available in the pet trade, Varanus spinulosus from the Solomon Islands.A small island locality animal that is available that probably shouldn't hopefully someone breeds them.
