Not trying to be too critical here, but isn't an open top enclosure supposed to be less than ideal for a BP??

Your tank set up needs work. You need 2 hides 1 on the hot side 1 on the cold. That little "shelf" will just get pulled onto your snake at some point in time and hurt it. You need to seal 95% of the top so that you can retain humidity. Also cover the back and 2 sides with either fabric or paint to allow your snake to feel safer. Other than that its a nice fish tank.
