retics aren't on the list and won't be put there, if they add just retics to the list they'll run into a world of problems.

Re: Super Dwarf Reticulated Python Pics
I ended up selling him to a local breeder for $300.00 I made out like a bandit, traded a tattoo for him...it costs me $40.00 to do a tattoo so I made a $260.00 profit so I'm happy it will go toward finishing my enclosure...they passed the same law here in Indiana last month I guess after May you may keep what you have but sales will no longer be legal on Retics...I don't recall seeing Burmese on the list but it doesn't matter the one's I got aren't going nowhere no matter what

Re: Super Dwarf Reticulated Python Pics
You may know this and it was brought up a little bit earlier in the thread but there are no true SD morphs so be prepared for a snake that will get larger than a true SD. A lot of breeders will try to sell them as if they were but as we all know they usually don't give a hoot about the animals or the people that buy them. I have a pair of true SDs that are only a few feet long at over two years old. I certainly don't power feed so they could be bigger but they are not starving either. I just want people to be aware of this.

This snake came from Prehistoric Pets a reputable breeder. It has been eating like a pig and has stayed at around 3'.

true, but if you speak with some of the big retic breeders they'll tell you that even the 50% SDs don't typically grow to the same size as even the other dwarfs. I've seen 50% SDs (whose other parent was a 14 foot male platinum) that were only around 7 or 8 feet at 4 years of age.

Jay seems like an all around good guy. I feel you can trust him and Tim to be honest. They don't want to ruin their reputation.

Re: Super Dwarf Reticulated Python Pics
I'm not saying that they will attain dwarf size but they aren't true SDs so they will be bigger. I know Jay and Tim personally and they are good business people but if you ever go to their shop you will see that animal care is quite low on their priority list. They certainly produce some incredible animals though, I will give them that.

Re: Super Dwarf Reticulated Python Pics
Also, unfortunately what is going to happen is that these true SD bloodlines are going to keep getting watered down by people that want a morph. It's becoming more and more difficult to find a true SD and that sucks because you can't go back from that.
