Re: Housing together help??? Plss
You could actually put it in a pillow case inside of the other enclosure.

That would work too. Or out them both in pillow cases to be 100% sure.

Yeah, I understand this.
But you should always keep a spare around, right. Things do occasionally fail, even if they are new. "Hope for the best but plan for the worst."
Rob's got the right idea... get yourself a thermostat - you can pick one up brand new for like $25-30 at the pet shop. It will keep the temperatures steady then you never need to worry.
Whatever is your primary heating source, keep a spare (if you can afford it).
If you don't have time to get those things, can't you call in a favour from a friend?- ask them to run out and grab them for you.
I hope that with all the time that passed you managed to sort something out.
Best of luck

Re: Housing together help??? Plss
we are all aware he SHOULD of had back up items.. he didnt and now hes asking what to do right now... To the OP: do one of the ideas mentioned above, either use a tub in a warm room, or smaller tub in a bigger tank (both sealed or secure so no one can "visit")
you can get hydrofoam thermostarts for like $20 bucks off of amazon, sometime they are a few bucks more, but they work awesome, i have 8 of them! and when you can afford to, just buy an extra tub here, extra thing here... ect... let us know how it turns out

Re: Housing together help??? Plss
I also use hydrafarm (not hydrofoam= I assume this is a typo )
Very cheap and other than the loud clicking when turning on/off they are great.
But I also use a $15 home depot baseboard heater thermostat in 2 enclosures with as good of results. I confirm all my temps with a temp gun every couple days or so. Both are set at temps that are not the same as what I get out of them but once set both work great. Never seen a hydrafarm for $20 but I have for $60 which is still 1/2 the cost of a herp thermostat and I am sure it's cheaper in the US.

A lot of people who work with horticulture use hydrofarm for their seedlings and they work great. You can get them for around $30 online but I would check any local classifieds as well.
