The tessera market is actually very quickly crashing. Which is what happens when a very prolific species has a dominant trait. I've seen normal tesseras go for as low as $150.  I think you might like a moonstone motley. Moonstone is a combination of Anery and Lavender. Absolutely no orange, or any chance of it.

It's probably just people on classifieds trying to sell off before it falls too low then, and yeah the moonstone motley looks really cool.
I just need to find one from someone who is selling for a reasonable price.

Steve Roylance should be having some babies available soon. He's already got hatchlings (not sure if he's got moonstone motleys yet) that aren't available at the moment, but this is one of his moonstone motleys from last year. He has them on his 2013 pricelist for $150.
