PAM applied directly, which the bottle CLEARLY STATES TO NOT BE USED ON THE ANIMAL-can and will do this:

pyrethrin is deadly if incorrectly used. SAVE YOUR SNAKE OR HE WILL DIE/GET SICK EVENTUALLY

Re: mite's on boa :( :( :(

PAM and NIX sprays are identical. Just remove everything from the enclosure and hold spray tip about 18 to 24 inches away from surfaces and allow to dry. I spray several layers of newspaper and allow to dry as well. I soak the animal in warm water with a drop of dish soap to break the surface tension on the water so the little buggers will drown. Other wise they can float or get air bubbles around them. I clean my enclosure first with a mild bleach solution, rinse with distilled water ( I hate water spots ) and then allow to dry before spraying. I place the sprayed and dried newspaper for the bottom a shoe box or similar with a hole cut in side for a hide and a water bowl. Use this as a quarantine and repeat this weekly for several weeks. Should take care of the problem. The spray nix with a blue lid is available at Walmart and drug stores everywhere, PAM you will most likely have to mail order at 3 or 4 times the cost. DO NOT USE ANY INSECTICIDE TREATMENTS DIRECTLY ON YOUR SNAKE!!!

PAM is only sprayed ONCE and then left for a month not repeated every week

X2. Also Nix and Pam have the same active ingredient but they are not the same nor are they used the same.
Nix is solution that can remain wet a long time but Pam is made for the propelent to evaporate quickly leaving a film on everything. You can put Nix directly in your snake but PAM directly on your snake will kill it or could cause what you see in the video. Be careful people.
