Re: Small bump

Roy, it's the mark of a good person to stand fully behind their product. You're doing everything anyone could ask at this point.

Re: Small bump

Thanks Cliff. I spent the last 23 years in Customer Service and I know very well, the customer is (almost) always right. I stand behind all of my animals and plan to build a reputation that is exemplary.

Having said that, It must be made known that as recent as Saturday, I arranged through a FB group to trade for a rack system I thought I could use to house my (hopefully) upcoming litters. I did not do my due diligence in researching precisely what I need for them until after the deal had been made. I then backed out of the deal. Again, I take complete and total responsibility for my ignorance and the actions that transpired as a result.

The seller (rightfully so) posted this information on a FB board meant for such feedback. I have since contacted the seller, apologized and ask that she consider completing the agreed upon trade. I have not heard back from her.

Needless to say, NGB is getting off to a very, very rocky start to say the least. It can only go up from here. I've learned my lesson.

Re: Small bump

First of all, regarding your 30 day warranty, that has to go. I know you want to supply your customers with superior customer service but a 30 day warranty is ASKING to be screwed over. Get rid of that policy. Be confident in your animals for a 48 hour guarantee. That is the standard in the business.

With that said, this particular customer should be returning the animal already to you for a refund instead of just sitting on the animal hoping the bump isn't anything with more weight gain. You don't want the animal in 30 days because she could not feed it, take it off heat and ruin it and then you have to take the animal back and refund her and you end up with an animal you can't sell or possibly even save.

From my experience on the BOI, FB boards are a waste of time. A lot of pettiness goes on them and I would stray away from being such an active member.

Re: Small bump

Thanks. I guess it's due to my years of training to do all you can to go above and beyond to satisfy the customer, which is why I offered the 30 days, as she did contact me within a few days to express her concerns and overall displeasure.

I completely agree with you, Mykee. I am setting myself up to be taken advantage of, but had I been as thorough as I no doubt need to be, neither of these situations would have arisen.

Re: Small bump

I took the opportunity to apologize publicly to the seller, and received acknowledgment for standing up and taking responsibility. Hopefully, I am in the community's good graces once again. She responded that she is not holding me to the commitment and is removing the post.

Re: Small bump

Personally I would ask your customer to return the snake. I would refund her money or send her a replacement (possibly a snake worth a little more) and pay return shipping.
