I had already done that. That's how I got started. But there weren't many I could find regarding specific questions, so I figured it'd be easier to just ask on a forum.

I'm an askhole? Is that kind of like an ******* but with inquisitiveness? That sounds pretty sweet. =o

I had had a low watt heat bulb over the peat moss for the first day, but my kitten is a prick and knocked it over and broke it. Unfortunately, I don't have another. But if I pick up another one, that should eliminate the issue?

Re: Cricket Breeding
No, if you got another kitten that might knock over the lamp too. It wouldn't eliminate the issue...

Re: Cricket Breeding
mold grows in warm dark places. if you add light to the equation, you slow the growth of it down. this is why daily upkeep with crickets is so important and i admittedly failed 15 years ago when i tried it for my beardies. cricket breeding is a lot of work iv'e seen some guys out in the country who raise them for leos and beardies. spend just as much time taking care of them as they do their feeder mice for their snakes.
this is why roaches FTW lol at least for what i keep

I couldn't stand to feed my geckos roaches. The crunch is just too much for me. DX
I don't wanna get into it hardcore or anything. Just producing a single generation once in a while would be satisfactory for me. I don't need tons of them.

Re: Cricket Breeding
then you should be fine. just google for a cricket breeders caresheet.remember though even on a small scale, the upkeep may only take 2 or 3 minutes but it needs to be done daily. again i dont breed my own crickets but i know 2 guys who do and it is a lot of work on the scale they are doing it. good luck let us know how it goes!

Look into duboa roaches. They are soft bodied so the crunch will be minimal.

I made that post two days after someone posted a question that no one had answered, and since I couldn't answer either, I suggested she check the internet - instead of ignoring her like everyone else. I already stated in response to whatshisface's post that I checked cricket breeding caresheets but couldn't find any that answered my specific question.
You should probably know what you're talking about before you start kissing someone's butt. Otherwise you just look ignorant.

Any crunch at all is too much. I'm not very squeamish, but crunchy bugs are my weakness.

Re: Cricket Breeding
How about YOU don't post anything unless you have first hand experience. Anyone can copy paste bad information.
That's korbin's point.
Also i was being sarcastic. I knew you meant mold. You were being annoying. You were already told crickets can't tolerate mold.

You realise this is several weeks old, right? I don't even remember what you're talking about.
Also, I love the irony of you reviving a thread just to complain immediately after posting in agreement on a different thread about people causing too much drama here. It's just...so delicious.

Re: Cricket Breeding
If you don't remember you can read it, it's right there.
And yes, you win, i came and looked up a thread of yours to point out how annoying you've been in the past. *shrug*
You're still annoying. I juts wanted to make sure you knew...since it's obvious to the rest of us. I just didn't want you thinking i thought it suddenly..i wanted you to realize it was from the beginning.
Many people feel justified by thinking that it's only one thread that points them out, and that people get riled up over one post. You should just know it wasn't just the one.

Yes she truly is. See we stick close here and welcome new members that want to learn. We want everyone to learn to be better keepers. Unfortunately people reach a saturation point where they are so full of themselves they can't see anything else.
