Re: What is this???
Ladies, if you look at the top of the snake and down it's midsection you'll note a different colour and look of the snake from the bottom half. Thus stuck shed.
I suggest never buying from this "breeder" again.
You don't get ticks unless it's from WILD CAUGHT animals. They aren't found in captivity like mites.

Re: What is this???
Ahh now I see the shed.. bottom left side of the pic.. so stuck shed, scars and a blister/tic... I think we need more details on this snakes care and more pictures so that we can help you get this snake in better shape.

Re: What is this???
It is stuck shed... I didn't have the humidity high enough and I thought I had fixed it but since it's been getting colder outside it has started to get lower again. I do need help. I've been asking people I know who have snakes to help me and they said they don't worry about humidity, but they also don't have a ball python. I've been having a hard time. I don't know if I'm making it out harder than it really is... but I do want him to be healthy and happy. I'm trying to find a better cage now... but am having a hard time cuz I don't know exactly what all I need to get with it or what type I should get. We have a vet appt in the morning to get this tic or mite or whatever it is taken care of.

Re: What is this???
Sounds like a plan. I would stick to Mykee's advice. He's one of the ball python gurus around these parts.

Re: What is this???
Would it be a bad idea to feed him a day before I take him to the vet?
