Re: Naja Kaouthia Eating

Shelby is an interesting fellow lol! I wasn't expecting evisceration to be his weird eating habit.

Reptar, your snake is beautiful and looks like she has great tone and is maintaining a healthy body weight. how long is she?

Re: Naja Kaouthia Eating

Yeah very interesting how your Monocled ate those first few times, I have not encountered any zombie-like eating habits by my girl yet. On the FT issue, she wont take mice/rats from me at all. It's as if eating has to be on her time and she has to handle the process. I've tried multiple different approaches to trying to get her to take the FT but she's too worried about me and why I'm all up in her habitat.

Thanks Michelle, she is about two feet.

Baby cobras can be quite timid! Hopefully you can switch her over soon. Have you tried just leaving the f/t food item on a plate in her cage overnight?

Very adorable snake.
And Kim glad to hear shelby has started eating the food whole and has stopped leaving you such a mess *lol*

I have not tried overnight but I have tried all day. I might try overnight next feeding time.
