Re: Tulsa Reptile Show!

I was there Sunday, seemed as if a lot of stuff was either packed up or had sold Satuday. I was looking for ATB and/or a male JCP. That Amythistine you took the pic of, I picked up its sibling at the last Tulsa show. It's a great snake

Re: Tulsa Reptile Show!

It was a Tokay. They had lots of them there. Very very pretty, decent sized lizard. Pretty crummy disposition.

Re: Tulsa Reptile Show!

And they bark when you pick them up. Wow now I have an idea on some of the bp morph prices in the us.

Re: Tulsa Reptile Show!

One of my friends has Tokays and said she would rather be bitten by any snake or mammal (she has a mini zoo, skunks, squirrels, snakes, lizards, cats dogs you name it ) than a Tokay

Re: Tulsa Reptile Show!

I've had the unpleasant experience of being bitten by a Tokay and I thought for a while I was in for a hospital trip but I managed to stop the bleeding

Re: Tulsa Reptile Show!

Yeah.. $50 for an amel does seem a little expensive. I wasn't buying anything, though, so I wasn't looking directly at the prices. I did see some other animals that seemed a little overpriced, though.
I like the looks of tokay geckos, I wouldn't mind owning one but I think if I get any more geckos I'll stay with the Rhacodactylus genus.
Next show I'm going to will be in Colorado, because I'm moving there late July.

edit- forgot to add, everyone and their brother was selling bearded dragons! I'm not even kidding, there had to be one at every table.

Re: Tulsa Reptile Show!

I love green tree python's too. I wish that they weren't so much up here in Canada. 250$ for a Green Tree Python, I was like, holy crap! They are like 600$ here.
