That's great. I've heard from other people that these guys don't do well in captivity but this seems to be proof of the opposite.

All the actual australis that I know are absolutely thriving. It's getting them to breed and rearing the young that is the really difficult part.

That's probably it, then. I don't know of anybody (other than you, now), who's had an adult specimen.

The weather was not cooperating, so it's indoor shots until we see the sun again. The first shot is poor, but it gives you an idea of her blue iridescence...
