Re: The night the worms came out to party.
Mine have a few small rubber dog toys, cat balls with the bells in them, small stuffed animals.. anything they can toss around. They make tiny dog toys you can stuff with treats I use those for my ferrets also.

That's a great idea! I'll go pick some up. You have a pic of your setup?

Re: The night the worms came out to party.
cat toys, beef jerkey, rabbit fur strips tied in knots, tunnels, hammocks, small kongs (you can stuuf them with beef jerky, keeps em busy for hours), and get down and play with them yourself too!! they bite only you because you are not yet a part of the "pack" in thier eyes!!

No pics.. they are just in a spare bedroom. They have a cage to sleep in but thats about all they do in there.

Re: The night the worms came out to party.
That's sweet! Oh I play with them all the time! Fr hours. They just poop everywhere :/ its sucks because they won't poop in there cage if there out. They will go directly to the corner and poop. And if theres paper towels there or litter they will go someone were else

Re: The night the worms came out to party.
mine just lived in our room, she was litter trained. she would climb in the back of dressers to get to our sock drawers and that's where we'd find her sleeping!!
She always played with our dog, it was the cutest thing you'll ever see. 80lb husky cross playing with 1 1/2 lb ferret!!
I would have to go searching for pics in the archives (Sable, our ferret, has been gone several years now)

litter pans, empty at first and put their first poop on the floor into the pan instead of the garbage.
Clean with bleach any place they have gone in the house so the smell is only in the pan.
And remember, they are small creatures with a very high metabolism, if they have only one place to go, they may not make it. I had a pan in her cage, in the bedroom and in 3 places around the rest of the house, and there was only ever poop on the floor when she was pissed with us. Then it was right in front of the bedroom door, every-time!!

Re: The night the worms came out to party.
Potty training these guys is super easy..
Clean the room they will be playing in. If it is a tile or wood floor clean the entire thing with a mixture of bleach and water. Once it is all dry then place a litter pan in 1 corner. The first time one goes potty on the floor place the poo in the litter pan and show it to them. Then clean the area of the floor they went on. I did this once with my 4 and after that I never had any issues.

Re: The night the worms came out to party.
to go back to the worms....firstly....EWWW haha!
Secondly...ever been night crawler hunting?? It's my 72 year old father's newest favorite hobby, and yes he uses them for fishing!
You just take a flashlight, and go out at night into a grassy area. Bam...covered in worms. Once you shine the light on them though you'd better grab quick...they are FAST and they get a good grip in the ground are gone in a second! It's really funny. If you can find a good spot to hunt them, you won't need to keep so many in the fridge : )

I used to have ferretts! I loved them but the smell was awful, especially to people visiting lol
now I enjoy Spot's cage in my bedroom, beautiful and smell free
