In a week or so I will have his full set up done. It should be sweet looking but for now this will do. he is only 4" long max so the 10 gallon gives him more than enough room.

What will his adult enclosure size be? Does he need a lamp or would a UTH work too? What about humidity? Just wondering... I like these guys

Lol.. I am still learning right now. I am getting mixed thoughts on lamps. I am getting a UV-B and a heat emmiter..From what I have seen/read a UTH won't cut it. He needs a basking rock with a top temp of 90-100 f . I have seen that 40% humidity is a good average, some skinks need more some do ok with less. Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

The viv I got that he will be in next week should be big enough for life but if not no biggy. It is 3ft long x 2 ft deep and 22inches tall...

It has a matching base too..

I just have this on my sun porch so that I can clean and refinish it...

Well I sanded down and Bleached the entire inside and outside of the viv today. It dried really fast being in my sun room. It felt like it was well over 90f in there. Once it was all dried I clear coated all the wood and used some clear silicon to seal all the seams and plexi. I am going to let it air out for a few days and I guess this weekend I will be setting it up. Hubby is going to order the lights and stuff tonight. The only thing I still need to find/make is a basking platform. I will post pics once it is all set up. Tank is going to look so tiny in it for a while. I think he will love it though. Oh and I took him out for a few min this morning and he was eating pieces of green beans and snails out of my hand. Love it!

blue toungue skink ?

such vibrant colours,the only 2 i've seen in the flesh,were VERY dull and NO where near,having the nice pattern this wee guy's got

Yes he is a Blue Tongue skink. He had the darkest coloration out of the 3 I could choose from. He was the only male. I am hopeful he will continue to get darker with age.
