Re: Rip
**Warm Loving Hugs** Just Honor her by sharing all the good times you had with her. I know it is hard when someone you loves dies, part of you will always be missing because they are not there to talk to you. I buried my Adopted Dad in 2009. He was my boss, my friend, and the closest thing to a dad I had ever known. His passing was ...well..there aren't words to describe what it did to me. Sometimes I still cry because I miss him and our Friday Morning Pow-wows we had. I Honor him by remembering all the great times we had together. He taught me so much and I am a better person for knowing him.
We talked about so many things in life, politics, economics, religion. He was Jewish and I'm not even Christian. We had wonderful spiritual and religous conversations! I have a box of his stuff upstairs from when I cleaned out the office. I still haven't opened it to create a Rememberance Book, but it's there and it's snap shots of his life, voice recordings of him speaking Hebrew. I still have 14 messages on my phone from him that I listen to when I miss his voice. My Keepsakes.
No matter what people say, it will always hurt, although the pain does lessen over time. Physically she may be gone, but spiritually, she will live forever because she is in your heart and every time you think about her and share a story about her, you are breathing new life into who she is.
Do not focus on her passing because I know she would not want that. She would want you to remember all the love you shared and the life you shared together. And that is what you should focus on and share with others.
I don't do this very often, but today it seems fitting. I wrote this for when my friend passed many many years ago. You have my permission to keep it, if it is fitting for how you feel. Just rename it, I don't mind.
Vicky’s Eulogy
Laughter, happiness, and love.
All good things down below and up above.
The smile of a young child,
The smell of a rose,
So delicate and mild.
The gentle caress of a loved one.
The soft light of the morning sun.
For everything to come full circle,
Life must end before it can begin.
Do not cry,
You must rejoice.
For her soul has heard God’s lovely voice.
Her life was full and now complete.
The depth of her love was very elite.
We must cherish her memories and hold them tight.
For her spirit is around us both day and night.
For all the time was spent giving,
And in our hearts she will be forever living.
Never forget, never regret.
Laughter, happiness, and love.
All good things down below and up above.
