Re: Meet Jadis...(Very unique snow)
For contrast, here is her little brother.. Hard to believe they came from the same litter, the only difference between them is the albino gene removed all the black pigment, they both have the same white stripe.

Re: Meet Jadis...(Very unique snow)
Wayne do you sell babies?
It's hard to find them here since they are native and there's a weird law where you can't buy them in NH but you can buy them from breeders out of state.

Yes I do..
To be honest, I prefer not to ship in the winter, I like to ship when the weather is nice enough that if something goes wrong and there is a delay, the snakes live through it.
A friend of mine shipped some garters 2 winters ago, they were delayed, and the snakes were delivered 2 days past the schedule delivery, frozen solid and dead.

Re: Meet Jadis...(Very unique snow)
That sucks, but I won't be able to get any until April anyway.
When do you feel comfortable shipping?

Re: Meet Jadis...(Very unique snow)
Since I can't find Gaters on the restricted species list, I may want one of your babies too!! (In the future though, not now) becaue....
1) hubby says no more snakes that don't fit into my breeding plans (for a while anyways)
2) I'll wait till I renew my licence and get the enhanced licence so I can drive across the border!!

May not be face to face, but I'm always right here.
Just tell me what you want. I have bunches every spring.

Re: Meet Jadis...(Very unique snow)
Wayne I have had a chance over the past week or 2 to go through some of your posts with the pics you have posted . You have some of the most amazing snakes I have ever seen . While I had never considered keeping Garters ,if I ever decide to I would buy from you in a heartbeat. You have some of the most amazing colors and mixes I have ever seen. You have a collection to be proud of for sure .

Re: Meet Jadis...(Very unique snow)
Not a huge albino man myself, but I do have to say she is beautiful. The black ?iris? around the red pupil is something I have never seen before. Very cool effect. I'm amazed she didn't make a break for it the moment she touched the ground.
Did the two runts make it? (And what do you feed them when they are that small?)

Re: Meet Jadis...(Very unique snow)
Jadis is now taking whole pinkies, when they were neonates, I fed them chopped up pinkies and fish.
I call it "Garter Goulash" This is the whole litter, she is in there with her siblings. The little runt albino with the tiny head died within two weeks of birth.
The combination of Albino gene and Anery gene (black babies) produced the lone snow.
