what's funny about that..
some BP will only take white mice, some will only take dark coloured mice, some won't take mice at all..
Royal Pythons can sometimes be finicky eaters.
We got very luck, ours is a garbage can, he sucks down anything with fur.

I have heard too many stories of people who assume Jerboas and Gerbils are the same thing, and feed their BP gerbils...
The Jerboa is found in the pythons natural habitat, gerbils are not..

Not to early no one can force you to do something you don't want to im just trying to help sorry if i come of to harsh for you i don't think you should feed your snake i give all my new comers 2 weeks to ensure they get accumulated to there ne conditions regurgitation are very hard on them

Cowgirl: Nobody here is trying to be mean. everybody here is trying to help you. They just want the best for your snake. People are trying their best but every time they say something you get very defensive. They aren't criticizing you, they're just pointing out incorrect information that you read (which is no fault of your own because there is plenty of wrong information everywhere from the web to books) and they are trying to correct it for you so that you have an easier go of these. They've mentioned that it's more difficult to take care of rescues because they could potentially have health issues (even ones that are not visible, such as parasites) and since this is the first snake that you have owned they're trying to make it as successful as possible. They have the best intentions when they post and try to help you. Try to imagine it from their perspective though, they're offering advice and you're getting very defensive and angry and you're arguing their points when they have had many, many, many years of hands on experience, aside from just research. Please think about it.

Wayne... to be honest I think she was only on here at this point to argue and not except any information which may or may not have been given to her in the future... that also being said with the way she was acting i figured she was either going to get banned or just not come back to the site...
Either way I am with you on your decision and I know this forum will be the friendly place it was only hours ago

in the end, I sent her packing too.. she went as far as joining other forums to slander this one..
