Re: My Milksnake

Very nice Milk.

I am bringing my first home next week, a Tang Honduran. Got a king that has been great to handle, never musked and I have been told this new boy is happy to be handled so hopefully thats the case!

is that the goins that is in your sig? kings love to musk when startled. i usually touch them gently first to let them know i'm around, then pick them up. some can't be broken of the habit and that's why i gave up on breeding them. too hard to sell retail. hogs musk as well but not nearly as bad as kings, and hogs generally outgrow musking pretty quickly. unfortunately they also outgrow the 'playing dead' routine, which is pretty neat to watch.

Yeah, thats the one and he is fantastic. He has never musked or been a 'typical' king in that way, handles great and is a great little guy.

My hognose has been a pain, musked on me, hissed, etc but after a few weeks of getting used to me he has now stopped.
