If they get themselves by the tail you quite often have to force them to stop as their food response is really that strong, silly snakes, Mark
P.S. its moving, its flesh, its warm, it must be food right?

So very true. Had a ball python named bulleyes for a reason. I use to feed him in a plastic bucket sitting on the floor. He shot up almost 3 feet in to the air and grab it right out of my hand and fell on the floor. He actaully caught 3 rat in mid air over the two years i had him.
Had a baby retic shoot out of his cage missed the rat fuzzy, but nail me in the nose. Held on for about 2 seconds then let go.

Re: Crazy feeding response!
Worst I had was an 8ft Bredli Python try to eat me twice actually, both the male & the female gave it a whirl.
Female got me good, best bite ever or is that worst bite ever? LOL
She tried to let go right away but I twisted one way & her the other so all those "fish hook" like teeth were caught good.
Sounded like velcro as she fianlly managed to free herself, the sound being created by her teeth being ripped thru my skin & quite a few were left behind as well DOH! Mark

Re: Crazy feeding response!
Next day?
A few days later?
She was being handled & decided to constrict & give me a taste.
Not fun being constricted by an 8ft Python LOL Mark

Bruising got worse after the first week or so at first it was not bad just sore.
Not too bad at all for the amount of blood that was involved, she started to gag on it as it ran into her throat, only had scars for a while, gone now. Mark
P.S. picking teeth out for a few weeks sucks
