No by that i meant I'm rethinking getting a ball python, and considering getting a veiled cham...

I wouldnt consider myself a begginer, I've bred 8 leopard geckos from an incubator that i made with no problems. I've raised beardies successfully, and I'm pretty sure I'm not a begginer. Perhaps just a begginer in the chameleon and ball python world(if you see what i mean).

I will probably get the ball python in another part of my life. lol Perhaps a cham would suite me better, time to go do some researching as per usual.

ok thats fine then.. i was under the impression you were new at herps... but comming from a chameleon owner id suggest doing like 4 months of reasearch and another 3 months of cage testing BEFORE you get the chameleon.. there a hard species to keep

Yes I definately am. I don't appreciate people that research then buy, the tank needs to be perfect with EVERY reptile species, otherwise I it is unfair for the reptile.

Talking of getting annoyed with reptile owners, my local pet shop (whom has a very good reputation for some reason) is at the moment keeping two hatchlings leo geckos, two juvenile female leos, and one adult male in a (i'm guessing) 1.5'l x 1.5'w x1'h glass viv with the ceramic heater in the middle above the viv, and crix eveywhere. I've never seen such a thin hatchling ever, i wanted to buy him but didnt want to be landed with a sick animal with no close repti vets for +- 50 miles.

Yeah my bro had a corn when i was really young but decided to try to breed it (he knew nothing about them to be honest). Went out and bought a new female, which had parasites. Infected two baby corns and our 3 year old corn. They did die.

Just shows that when you dont know what ur doing silly mistakes can make one big mistake. Imagine how hard it was for me to try to convince my mum that i could breed leos. I wish he knew then what i know now, and I'm only talking about basic husbandry techniques.

I dont want to let them kill those leos, the beardies there werent much better. There were a lot less beardies in the same size tank, but there were A LOT more crix in there, all over them.

I know me and you are young and its hard to get some respect at reptile stores, but there must be something we can do to stop these kind of things happening.
