wow..im happy u posted this peter..
im redecorating my room..and i have one 29 gal tank now...but i expect to have 4 in the next 6mos.
im thinking about building a rack system..OR building shelves on the wall so each tank can have its own space.
but the thing is..i need it to look nice, orderly, and go along with my whole theme for my room.lol
i guess i gotta start the brainstorming..

btw..i love the black paint peter

Yeah my dresser has long been removed and a shelving unit and all animal and my supplies are in my closet.
I just recently moved most of my collection to rubbermaids so now I have 4, 10 gallons a 20 gallon and 55 gallon empty.... I have no idea where I'm going to put all those but I do kind of like that moving your bed out of the room idea.

ive found myself getting rid of dressers to build a cham cage and shelf for my other lizards.. now ive found myself moving things aound to add a table and adding a shelf to the shelf/ cham cage, blocking off 1/2 my closet.. NOW im even contimplating getting a smaller bed to make more room for more in the future... and i dont have the luxury of putting one in the living room... i also dont hve the luxury of a large rack... the only bonus that i have is i do have room for a small shelving unit.. maybe fit 3 10 gal one on top of another.. maybe a unit like thoes rubbermaid drawers at walmart.. about that size..

my moms even giving me suggestions on putting things ( dvd's) out into the living room to make more room and emptying out my closet for some lizards ( she even hates them).. she might even give me my sises room to put my lizards in... lol

so what does everyone do.. what sacrifices have you made... sorry for the long post..
Have you ever thought of building an elevated platform for your bed? By raising your bed say 4' up you can free up quite a bit of storage or herp space under the bed.

I recently elevated our King size bed about 30" lots of starage under the thing.

Since I'm also in the group that has to house reptiles in the bedroom, I thought what the heck, I'll take some pics, so.....

The only reptiles that are outside the bedroom are my phantasticus, housed downstairs in the family room.

Not that hard, just involves a bit of sacrafice and careful planning... and you can't forget the ability to shimmy up and down narrow aisles Here's a few pics of my bedroom, a bunch of snakes are missing, as they are currently in brumation.

LMAO aisles, that's INSANE!!! Linds do you have to climb over your bed to get to the next aisle? LOL

Peter, you could just do what I did. I started off by kicking my mom out of the master bedroom, and eventually ran out of space in there. I ended up having to keep some stuff in my moms now smaller bedroom, because I wasn't allowed to keep stuff in the living room (which I ended up having to do when I ran out of space in my moms room) Then my sis moved out and I took over her room, and then my mom moved out, so now I have lots of space.

Hmmmm, maybe that's why my mom doesn't have a boyfriend
