Chameleon cage

For my chameleon Larry, I use the big jungle vines you can buy at petstores. They're bendy, and made out of a spongy-foam like material, but look natural. I love them, easy to clean and he can grab them really well.

I also use a large fake plant with large stalks that he can climb up and down, and a big hanging pothos plant. Pothos plants are vine-y and grow like mad, great for chameleon cages. They retain humidity well too. I have at least one in all my non-snake cages

I'm with Brock on the tank though, it's just an excuse to get something really neat like frogs or geckos My chameleon is in a large (taller than me anyway) cylindrical mesh screen and wood enclosure...

Thanks for the ideas. I know the jungle vine you are talking about. Perhaps ill buy some for my cousin for Christmas (as its a little pricey :S . ) I was hoping for some homemade,cheaper ideas. But its definatly a good Christmas gift idea.And it does indeed work really well for chameleons, we always used it at the petstore i worked it. A great big fake plant, thats a good idea! Never thought of that. Hmm, I'll have to look into that.That might look really nice.And seeing at how we've got lots of room to work with, it would be a nice way to fill the tank. I cant wait to get live plants in there though, im definatly going to track down a pythos. They sound great. Are they fairly common? Could you find them at a box store? Ill start looking for them.

Pothos plants are super common. I get mine at the local grocery store, although it's almost winter now, but they should have them. They're the common 'house plant' and are super cheap too I have no idea what a box store is, so I don't know if you could find them there

They'll take over the cage in no time, providing a ton of climbing space.

Big fake plants are awesome too, because chameleon claws tend to shred plant leaves Plus you don't have to water it. I like a mix of both, anyway

A box store is just like a walmart,k-mart, type store. So yeah, im sure if i could find it in a grocery store then i cant find it other places easily.Thanks! Im excited about this. I love plants, and personally own lots of them for my house. I cant wait to get this tank looking much better! My 11 year old cousin, (the chameleon owner!) is excitted too!

Home Depot is the cheapest place to find good plants. Tey often sell huge baskets of pothos for around eight dollars. They are the best value for your money.
