This rack of 10 cages now holds all my Hog Island Boas, save for 3 yearlings which are in a 26.4L rack.

Ha ha gotcha buddy!
I agree (sort of). I would say that 5x2x1 is a PERFECT boa cage for all but the largest female. 18 inches in height won't hurt, but in my limited experience, it doesn't help all that much either. But some people like 2 foot high cages. There's certainly nothing wrong with them. Some of them look and work quite nice in fact. Larger cages can be made to looks awesome!

My boas's enclosure is 4x 2.5 x 2. And i will be building her a new one when she gets bigger. She is a little over 5ft now. They need their space if you a want a healthy, happy animal. I wouldnt even think of putting her in a smaller enclosure than the one i built for her. Those new dimensions are great for your boa. If you don't have enough room for several tanks that size i wouldn't recomend that you get more boas. Its no good to keep more than one snake in an enclosure for many reasons unless of course your are breeding them, but that is only temperary co-habitation

Invictus:
I believe a year or so ago rubbermaid had xmas tree boxes that were great for boas. I belive they were something like 48-60x24-30x18. I remember seeing them on Ksnake. I've had no luck finding them agian though.
