right now there pygmys(sp) and veilded from what i kno, better off with a veilded. IMO best bet is to get a panther you do have to pay a bit more but its worth it

well, the cost of the chameleon is probably the least of your concerns price wise. feeding it, getting a large enough cage, maintaining the right temperatures/humidity, supplemental lighting. in the long run, the chameleon is the cheapest part

yea, the cham itself ended up being a whole lot cheaper than all of the other stuff i had to buy. i think i spent about $250 on supplies and $75 on the cham

I highly discourage you fromgetting a Pygmy chameleon unless you have past chameleon experience.

Like you had when you got yours viper? LOL I mean, I myself would even be intimidated in bringing home pygmys, even after my more than average "experiance" with chams.

Lol, you got a point there. I did get mine when all I have ever cared for is a Veiled. But I have done much previous research on their care. Also, for the care of these, you basically need to try things, as there is not a lot known on their husbandry while being successful. Also, at the time I didn't realize the chances of one surviving for any time in captivity. So I am saying now, I do not recommend them without past experience.
