Dumerils are my favorite, you get the temperment of a water in a much smaller package.

I work at Pet Lover's Warehouse in Columbia, SC. As many monitors as we have had in, I would say that Black Throat's and Savannah's have the best temperments, and are the easiest to handle. If I had to pick the one I would most likely keep in captivity, it would be either a Croc. Monitor or a group of Acanthurus.

Chris, you have a hard choice: The chris monitor, the huge female savannah, or the purple-tounged alligator monitor!

Of course, you could ask Adam. He has a colony of "female I think" monitors!
